These days, the list of top outsourcing companies tends to have grown leaps and bounds. Virtually all outsourcing providers claim to be the best, and really, there are truly outsourcing experts out there. But, it is not enough to latch on to these claims without looking out for something substantial as the real pointer to expertise.

So, how can you identify a top or best outsourcing vendor?

Tip # 1: Quality Work History

Obviously, experience is a core qualification to look out for when trying to determine which company should be rated as top or best outsourcing company. If a vendor claims to be the best and have no adequate or quality work history to show for it, you should think twice.

Don’t get it all wrong; there are emerging providers who can also deliver quality outsourcing services, although they may not have substantial work history. In that case, do your homework properly and exercise due diligence in assessing and interviewing such providers. But, generally, the rule of thumb is to prioritize a provider whose work history is substantial and can be confirmed.

Tip # 2: Proficient in a Particular Task

Also, when trying to select from the top outsourcing companies, you should insist on hiring a provider who specializes in the particular task or group of tasks you want to outsource. For instance, an outsourcing company that specializes on administrative tasks will be better off handling your business admin tasks than the one who offers general services.

Well, an exception would include if the provider that offers general services work with experts for different outsourcing tasks. This is usually the case with some top outsourcing vendors. And, even if this is the case, you should not relapse when it comes to carrying out proper assessment and interview to be sure you can get the expected outcome.

Tip # 3: Required Qualifications

Also, a company featured in the list of top outsourcing providers should have the required qualifications for the niche of outsourcing it is handling. For instance, an IT outsourcing company should have IT certifications to show as a proof of expertise in information technology. This is one of the ways you can be sure of getting the expected outcome when you hire such provider or company.

Finally, when you want to determine top outsourcing companies, pay attention to the way the provider answers your questions during the interview/assessment section. If the responses are not convincing enough, you don’t need to take chances and hire the provider just because he claims to be on the ‘top list’. You should be objective when you set out to hire a company that offers outsourcing services. This way, you can sleep with your two eyes closed.
