Sooner, it’s no longer going to be work from home but work from anywhere (café, home, beach, or even in a faraway country) – which is actually the right definition of remote working.

As many companies seriously think towards maintaining remote work for the rest of 2020, a lot of people are considering relocating elsewhere or making a different living arrangement.

Companies and businesses are also taking advantage of this trend to save more cost incurred from full-time office staffing and high cost of a stylish office. The giant tech companies are also making preparations to flow with this trend. For instance, Facebook has declared their plan to situate new hubs in Denver, Atlanta, and Dallas – the third tier cities.

2: Offices Will Never Be the Same Again

No doubts, the big tech companies’ headquarters may not change, but space use will be altered. Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook, said he’s planning to let some of the employees continue to work from home. Right now, Mark is also on a massive recruitment move to hire skills in remote locations. According to his projection, 50 percent of Facebook employees in the next five to 10 years will be remote workers.

The bottom line is that majority of the offices will be used less for regular work activities and probably used more for innovative brainstorming sessions and meetings. And, in the future, such offices may not be the grand types that cut a huge chunk of a company’s budget.

Another remote work trend that has always been there but will spike up after the pandemic is outsourcing. Many company owners are outsourcing more than ever before. This is to enable them reduce full-time staffing costs.
