The work environment is changing for businesses due to the virus pandemic. Many businesses are striving to adapt to the changing environment. From the report published by a renowned technology firm, many companies are going to outsource more work in the days to come.

45 Percent of Companies from Around the Globe will Outsource More Work

The study surveyed more than 1,200 executives in 29 countries and revealed that 45 percent of companies are going to use outsourcing more than hiring employees in-house. The ‘2020 Global Managed Services Report’ made it clear that this trend will continue in the next eighteen months and probably beyond. 57 percent of those surveyed are concerned about security risks when it comes to managing IT in-house.

The experts pointed that it has become more critical to employ speed in delivering platform-enabled solutions across all technology stack in the changing business environment. Therefore, whether it is data center, cloud, networking, or security, there is need for depth and breadth of capability in recovering and restoring operations, which in turn positions companies for success in the changing work and business environment.

The report also pointed out the trend in high demand for cloud infrastructure expertise. In essence, cloud infrastructure management outsourcing is going to increase to 77 percent in the coming months.

Generally, it is not only the IT sector that will experience a spike in expertise demand in the coming months. Companies are also going to increasingly outsource help desk, admin duties and other specialized tasks in the coming months and years.
