Will You Be Ready When Opportunity Comes Knocking?

Fantasizing about what it would be like to take one of your ideas and run with it is more than it appears to be. Thoughts are things. The more you flesh out your ideas in your mind, the more solid they become as opportunities.

It’s often tempting to harness ideas and hold them in thought without ever taking action, and many people do just that their entire lives. They never open the door when opportunity comes knocking and instead are content to merely look through the peep hole at what’s out there. Why don’t they open the door?

Fear keeps some of us from stepping fully into our dreams: fear of failure and perhaps surprisingly, the fear of success. Why would someone fear success? The fear of success is sometimes the mirror image of the fear of failure. If we knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that once we achieved success we would be able to sustain it, we might not fear it as much. But the fear of becoming successful and then losing it all because we couldn’t sustain it keeps some people from ever opening the door to opportunity, even when it’s staring them right in the face.

Are you one of these people? If so, you’re a thought away from changing things. Unless you take action you’ll never know what amazing things are waiting to express themselves through you.
