The above is better captured by the words of a management guru, Peter Drucker. According to Drucker, “retaining experts for the few times you need their services is not just too expensive but entirely unnecessary.”

The need to save more and more and re-invest in growing and expanding your business cannot be overemphasized. And, one of the ways you can achieve this is by leveraging outsourcing. Yes! Outsourcing is a powerful business tool — but unfortunately, most businesses are either under-utilizing it or not even adopting it at all — little wonder why they are not accomplishing meaningful competitive edge.

It Doesn’t Mean You Should Outsource Everything

Nobody is saying you should outsource everything — there are some tasks that are better kept in-house because of their intricate or sensitive nature. But, why should you be paying a website developer or tech expert on a full-time basis when the services are only temporal?

In fact, their salaries are not the only cost incident, but also the costs they are incurring on utilities (doing little or nothing after the major task is completed). Indeed, it is a waste of money and completely unnecessary to accomplish some business tasks in-house.

n fact, their salaries are not the only cost incident, but also the costs they are incurring on utilities (doing little or nothing after the major task is completed). Indeed, it is a waste of money and completely unnecessary to accomplish some business tasks in-house.

So, Consider Outsourcing the Following;

Customer Support – While customer support is on-going and something you can keep in-house, you should weigh the greater benefits you would achieve by outsourcing call center compared to keeping a customer-care department in-house.

Typical examples of such benefits include bypassing the cost of setting up a sophisticated customer care department, lower remuneration compared to the salary package of a full-time customer rep, access to innovative customer support tools, un-divided attention to your valued customers, and much more. In fact, these benefits are even juicier when you outsource help desk to Philippine call centers.

Online Marketing – Email marketing, search engine optimization, link-building, social media marketing, and content marketing are quite laborious and time-consuming. The time that should be put into these tasks should be rather invested in growing the business and strategizing on the next course of action for expansion. So, it is better to outsource online marketing.

Adhoc Tasks: Tasks that are just for a particular purpose, or temporal shouldn’t be kept in-house and as a result waste money on a full-time salary. For instance, you should outsource website design, software development, marketing campaigns, and similar tasks. You will save more by outsourcing them than hiring people in-house.

You should also outsource time-consuming tasks. These are tasks that are routine-oriented in their nature and as a result, are time-consuming. Outsourcing such tasks will free up a lot of time for more productive and meaningful tasks.
